A Brief Illustrated History of Painful Video Game Title Puns

Yesterday, publisher THQ Nordic announced that Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, a remaster of 2009's Red Faction: Guerrilla, will be released later this year for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Yes, you read that intentionally tacky title correctly. According to its official press release, "Red Faction Guerrilla will be fully re-Mars-tered," because if it isn't obvious that the game takes place on Mars, it is now.

THQ Nordic is proud of its title puns: they've come up with both Darksiders Warmastered Edition and Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition before. Nonetheless, THQ Nordic's titles are far from the worst forced puns found in the history of naming video games.
